Protesters from the Western Chin River led a demonstration today, August 4, under the banner “5/ Not Changing Spirits Despite Changing Seasons,” expressing their resistance against the fascist military regime.
The leaders of the Western Chin River protest committee stated, “We must remain steadfast in this revolution; we cannot afford to be complacent. Each citizen must take part in this revolution from their own place of responsibility. Only through collective action can this revolution succeed. No matter how much the seasons change, we, the 5/, will not cool our blood or relent; we are continuing to fight. Not only are we engaged in daily protests and battles, but we are also disrupting the military junta’s operations through armed means.”
