On the Myanmar military launched an attack on Malethar Village, Ayadaw Township, in Sagaing Region, setting fire to two residents and killing them. According to a local news source, the Ayadaw Township Information Team, one of the victims was burned after being killed, while the other was found among the ruins of the village, which was destroyed by the military’s arson. It remains unclear who the victims were. Additionally, over 500 homes were burned down during the attack.
“The military stormed the village after shelling it with heavy artillery. The entire village fled, but two residents were caught and killed. One was burned after being killed, while the other was found among the debris. We still cannot confirm their identities. All the villagers have been forced to flee,” said a local resident.
