In Falam, the military has reportedly executed a total of five individuals, including a 60-year-old disabled woman, a sick person in Wetlet, two elderly men over 70 in Palae, and a humanitarian aid worker in Nyaunglaypin. Local residents have confirmed these tragic incidents.

The military’s brutal actions include the execution of a disabled woman named Daw Tilkat (Pat) in Falam Township, who was shot on June 30 while residing in the village of Varlone. Reports from the Chin National Consultative Council indicate that this act is part of a broader pattern of military atrocities throughout Chin State.

The Chin National Consultative Council has condemned the military’s inhumane actions against civilians and vowed to seek justice for these crimes, emphasizing the need for accountability for the military’s conduct.

In a similar incident in Wetlet Township, a sick individual named Ko Thein Tun was shot and burned by the military on July 4 while assisting others.

Additionally, a humanitarian worker named Ko Salakapor (aka Fa Bo) was killed by the military while attempting to provide support to internally displaced persons. Reports indicate that the military confiscated 50,000 kyats intended for purchasing necessary supplies for displaced individuals, further highlighting the military’s disregard for human life.

In ongoing clashes in the Monywa area, military forces have been actively monitoring villages using drones, firing heavy and small weapons, and confiscating livestock. Currently, 54,911 individuals from a total of 48 villages are reportedly fleeing due to the military’s actions, as confirmed by the KNU.

In the villages of Min and Moetone, two elderly men, U Kyaw Han and U Tin Phe, aged over 70, were executed by the military, with their bodies reportedly recovered afterward. Local sources indicate that the military entered Moetone on July 6 and burned the village, leading to these tragic outcomes.

“When the military left, we found the bodies of those they executed. One was from Min village, and the other from Moetone. U Kyaw Han was from Min, while U Tin Phe, aged 78, was from Moetone,” said a local resident.

The military’s arson attacks resulted in the destruction of over 33 houses in Moetone and more than 66 houses in Min village, further exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in the region.
