Military Arson Destroys 14 Homes in Kyakhae Village, Htilin

In an act of military arson, 14 homes in Kyakhae village, Htilin Township, Magway Region, were destroyed, according to local reports from the Yawalin Defense Force.

On November 1 at approximately 6 a.m., the military set fire to 14 civilian homes and cattle sheds in Kyakhae village. Residents reported that while the military was retreating from the village, local defense forces and villagers were able to quickly extinguish some fires, preventing further damage to civilian property.

At around 8:20 a.m., clashes occurred between the military and local defense forces between Kyakhae and Pamyinthit villages. By 9:40 a.m., the military was seen firing into Pamyinthit village.

As of the latest reports, the military had retreated back to Htilin Township around 5 p.m., re-entering the town again at approximately 6:40 p.m.
