In northern Shan State, military forces from the junta have been shelling civilian-populated villages in Naungcho and Moemait on a daily basis, according to the TNLA. Since June 1, there have been at least 20 incidents of shelling reported.
On the morning of June 5, military forces launched four artillery strikes from Panwe village towards thirty surrounding villages, resulting in damage to a local house. Similarly, on June 4, there were four shelling incidents from a junction in Naungcho township directed at civilian-populated areas.
Additionally, on the evening of June 5 at around 4 PM, the military fired two shells from Byuha Hill in Moemait township towards Manphe village. The ongoing shelling has left the local residents terrified, prompting some to flee to safer areas, as reported by the TNLA.
Since June 1, military forces have conducted a total of more than 20 artillery attacks on villages in the TNLA-controlled areas of Moemait, Mogaung, Kyaukmae, and Naungcho.
