In Laung Lone Township, Tanintharyi Region, military forces conducting operations shot and killed a woman from In Zauk Village and detained over ten civilians, according to a spokesperson for the Laung Lone Township People’s Defense Force.
On December 13, at around 5:00 a.m., junta soldiers advancing from Dawei toward Laung Lone reportedly opened fire on a woman riding a motorcycle near In Zauk Village. The victim, identified as 50-year-old Daw Nwe Than, a resident of In Zauk, was shot while leaving her home on her motorcycle.
In addition, the troops detained more than ten civilians along their route. While some were later released, the majority remain in custody, according to local reports.
