The National League for Democracy (NLD) reported today that during the four years of military rule, four NLD parliamentarians and 107 party members have been killed, while 195 lawmakers and 2,496 party members have been arrested.
According to the Human Rights Documentation Team of the NLD (HRDT-NLD), among the 5,140 civilians killed by the military since the coup, the victims include four NLD lawmakers, 107 party members, 436 children, and 811 women.
Additionally, the junta has illegally confiscated properties belonging to 839 civilians, totaling 1,021 cases of asset seizures. Among them, 455 properties belong to NLD members, including 199 lawmakers and 256 party members, amounting to 570 recorded cases of loss.
The military has repeatedly targeted NLD offices for destruction, with reports indicating that the NLD headquarters in Yangon was raided three times, while 15 state and regional offices, six district offices, 115 township offices, and 28 village offices were destroyed, totaling 167 incidents.
The junta has unlawfully detained 18,434 civilians, including 145 NLD lawmakers and 2,496 party members. Among the detainees, 260 are children, and 2,182 are women.
Since the coup, the military has burned down 74,851 homes, carrying out 1,859 separate arson attacks. Additionally, 469 airstrikes have destroyed 1,752 structures, including homes, religious buildings, schools, and healthcare facilities.
Intentional shelling of civilian areas using both heavy and small arms has resulted in the destruction of 13,218 structures and injuries to 2,666 civilians.
