In Kyauk Taw, Rakhine State, the military junta carried out an airstrike with more than 10 bombs early in the morning of April 19, 2025, according to local residents.
While the civilians were still asleep, the military launched the bombing from aircraft, resulting in the death of at least one person and injuries to over 20 others. The attacks targeted three locations within Kyauk Taw town, including areas near the city center, a hospital, and a new town area.
A local resident shared, “While people were asleep, the military bombed the area. The bombs landed near the city center, the new town, and a hospital. Initial reports indicate at least one death, with over 20 people injured. All of them were civilians. It’s hard to confirm the exact details, as the military has dispersed throughout the entire town.”
