Seven civilians, including a child, were arrested and executed by junta forces near Ahmakhan village in Wuntho Township, Sagaing Region, according to a representative from Kawlin Info.
The incident occurred around 7:00 a.m. on April 26, when the military encountered the group near Ahmakhan village, approximately one mile east of Wuntho town. The victims, who were ordinary vendors, were reportedly detained and killed on the spot by patrolling junta soldiers.
Local sources say the area where the killings took place is under tight military control, with junta checkpoints and Pyu Saw Htee militias operating nearby.
“It was the junta’s troops who did it. The area is about two miles east of Wuntho town, close to military checkpoints. The victims were regular vendors who got caught during a patrol and were executed. That happened on the 26th,” said a Kawlin Info representative.
The names and addresses of the victims are still under investigation, the representative added.
