One woman was killed and four other civilians were injured when junta forces carried out airstrikes on Kan Kone and Phalay villages in Kawlin Township, Sagaing Region, according to Kawlin Revolution – KR.
The attack occurred around 9:20 p.m. on June 9, when a junta fighter jet launched from Tada-U carried out bombing runs on Kan Kone Village, near the border of Kawlin and Wuntho townships. There were no clashes at the time of the attack. A father and his daughter were hit directly by bomb shrapnel — the daughter was killed and the father sustained serious injuries.
In a separate strike on Phalay Village, in eastern Kawlin Township, two women and one man were injured. The airstrikes also destroyed six civilian homes.
