Airstrike on Saksa Ra Ward, Mawchi Town Kills 7 Civilians Including Child, Injures Around 20

At least seven civilians, including a child, were killed and around 20 others injured when the military carried out an airstrike on Saksa Ra Ward in Mawchi town, Bawlakhe Township, located in the Karenni region, according to local residents.

The bombing took place at around 2:30 p.m. on July 14, targeting a group of civilians using a Wifi connection in the neighborhood. The victims reportedly included the shop owner and the young child.

“They dropped the bomb on a civilian area in Saksa Ra Ward where people were gathered to use Wifi. Seven people, including the shop owner and a child, were killed. About 20 others were injured,” said one local resident.
