The military and Pyu Saw Htee forces invaded Thet Taw Village in Yayzeikyo Township, Magway Region, and reportedly burned to death a 70-year-old woman named Daw Aye, according to local residents speaking to Yangon Modern Media.
The military set fire to 27 civilian homes within the village and reportedly looted civilian properties, including a tractor, over 30 motorcycles, and valuable items.
Additionally, a 38-year-old male resident was taken away, and the locals have not been informed of his whereabouts.
Similarly, on June 6, the military raided Kaung Tonn Village in Kanbalu Township, burning down 118 civilian homes, as reported by the Kotaungbo Revolution KTB-R Brigade.
Due to the military’s arson, 118 homes and 35 rice granaries containing over 10,000 baskets of rice in Lyao Phyu Kone Village were also destroyed.
Furthermore, on June 7, the military invaded Chantha Village and Thanpin Kone Village in Yayuu Township, setting fire to 117 homes, according to local residents.
The military began shelling Chantha Village in the early morning of June 8 and invaded the village, burning down 105 homes, along with 9 homes in the Than Taw Kone neighborhood and 3 homes in Thanpin Kone.
It is noted that the military also burned down 24 civilian homes in Chantha Village on May 7, marking the second time the village has been subjected to such destruction.
Chantha Village is known to be inhabited by Christians, and due to the military’s repeated arson attacks, 141 civilian homes have reportedly been destroyed.
