In Chaung-U Township, Sagaing Region, the military carried out an attack on the village of Nyaung Pin Taek on the morning of June 18, resulting in the deaths of five villagers, according to the Chaung-U People’s News Team. The military reportedly destroyed property inside private homes before capturing and burning the villagers, identified as U Paw Kyi (52), Ko Nay Win (37), U Aung Min (48), U Pyae Aye (49), and an unidentified man. During the assault on the village, two PDF soldiers from the CHUPDF launched an attack on the military’s approach, resulting in a heavy exchange of fire. In the confrontation, a PDF soldier named Toe Nyaing Win was killed, and another was injured due to the military’s gunfire.
