A 14-year-old boy, Ye Min Naung, was shot dead by the military in Khin-U Township, Sagaing Region, while 27-year-old Tun Tun Win was beheaded, according to local sources. The military column, which arrived from the northern part of Khin-U, attacked the village of Kanthayar on November 23, taking four civilians hostage after the killings.
The same column also detained six members of the Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP) from Aipaukgyi Village, accusing them of being used as human shields. The detained USDP members include Aung Kyaw San, Chit Thu, Soe Khaing, Win Tint, Phoe Wine, and another unidentified individual. Locals reported that despite their political affiliation, the military made no distinction and continued to target civilians across the area.
