Students and Youths of Launglon Stand with Those Sentenced to Death for Their Beliefs

December 6, 2022

Students and youths in Launglon Township led a protest today, December 6, standing in solidarity with students and civilians who have been sentenced to death for their beliefs. The protest highlights the ongoing injustices faced by innocent individuals as the military continues to arrest them without due process and impose death sentences arbitrarily.

One protester stated, “The brutal military group is unjustly arresting innocent students and civilians, imposing death sentences without any credible evidence. Meanwhile, children and indigenous people across the country are being shot and killed daily, with their homes being burned and destroyed. This is a direct attempt to undermine the growing public resistance that threatens their power, treating student civilians as enemies and attacking them. There is no other option but to fight against these violent authoritarian forces that are willing to sacrifice the lives of student civilians for their own selfish gains.”
