Military Arson in Wetlet Township Leaves One Youth Dead

In a single day, the military burned down four villages in Wetlet Township, resulting in the death of a young individual, as reported by Major Min of the Bo Tiger group. On January 30, over 85 troops from the military and local militias entered the villages heavily armed, leading to widespread destruction and chaos.

It was revealed that a 17-year-old youth was shot dead at the top of Thapan Kone village during this violent encounter. Major Min stated, “On the 30th, the military came out and set fire to Aung Tak Kone village, then moved on to Thapan Kone, followed by Phat Tan Gyi village, and finally Kotone village. In just one day, they burned down four villages.”
