In a violent raid, the military entered Lezin village in Monya Township, Sagaing Region, without justification, setting homes ablaze and arresting six residents, according to local sources. Reports indicate that around 1:30 PM today, the military forces carried out an unprovoked attack in Lezin village, destroying several houses by fire.
As a result of the military’s arson, three houses within the village were completely burned down, and six local residents were taken away without explanation, with communication currently cut off.
“This afternoon, the military dogs stationed in the village set fire to three houses. Six residents were also arrested without any reason. There was no fighting; it was an unprovoked raid and arson,” stated a local villager.
