In northern Shan State, the military junta has reportedly dropped 500-pound bombs on the fire station and downtown Kyaungmae, according to a statement from the TNLA. On June 29, around 10:30 PM, the junta targeted the fire station near Naungcho town with a fighter jet, resulting in damage to at least eight civilian homes.
Additionally, the military air force bombarded downtown Kyaungmae with 500-pound bombs, causing the destruction of about 20 local homes. On June 30, around midnight, the junta also targeted Ward 1 in Kyaungmae with a fighter jet. It was reported that the 500-pound bombings damaged the One Love Hotel, a local temple near the Pinlon Road, and around 20 local homes.
Similarly, earlier that morning, the junta’s artillery fire struck a gas station in Ward 9 of Kyaungmae, resulting in a fire that caused substantial losses.
