In Pakokku Township, Magway Region, two civilians from Dalmae and Shwe Gu villages were reportedly arrested and executed by the military, who claimed they were members of the PDF (People’s Defense Forces), according to local residents.
On August 13, the two civilians were unjustly detained over a motorcycle license issue within Pakokku Township, specifically from the Kyawpinwaing group in Dalmae and Shwe Gu villages, and were subsequently executed and their bodies disposed of by military personnel.
Local residents clarified that those executed were Ko Nay Htwe (alias Ko Aung Shwe) from Dalmae village and an unidentified civilian from Shwe Gu village.
A local resident stated, “The individuals who were killed were detained over the motorcycle license issue. The young man from Dalmae was arrested in a raid on July 24; they are not PDF members but regular villagers living peacefully in the community.”
