In the Oaktpho township of Pegu region, a young man from Raykata village, who had been ill and bedridden, was detained by the military after being included in the weekly conscription list, according to friends of the detained individual.
On the evening of November 8, 2024, around 8 PM, military personnel from the junta entered Raykata village and forcibly took the young man, who was unable to walk due to illness. Local administrators in Ngashu village had provided the name to the military for conscription purposes. The young man was taken for military service, despite his medical condition.
In addition, on November 9, 2024, military forces also detained five civilians from Sintae Kon village and nine from Gwe Htaung Kon village in Minhla township. On the evening of November 10, 2024, junta troops entered villages in Minhla township, including Pattan Lay, Pattan Gyi, Mokha, and Thaphan Pinseik, detaining three individuals: Ko Kyaw Thu Win from Mokha, Ko Naing Win Ko from Pattan Lay, and Ko Laluu from Pattan Gyi.
