Junta Drone and Heavy Weapon Strikes Kill 1, Injure 4, Including Two Children in Nayong Lay Pin

In the villages of Nayong Lay Pin district, in Paung Khu township and Muu township, Bago Region, a series of attacks by the military junta using drones and heavy weapons has resulted in the death of one civilian and injuries to four others, including two children aged 6 months and 8 years, according to the KNU Central Committee.

On November 13, 2024, at approximately 8:30 AM, the junta’s Kalay 264 battalion, based in Paing Zalo, carried out a drone strike on Kyaung Kone village in Leedaw township, which resulted in injuries to 6-month-old Maung Lapyit Htun and 8-year-old Ma Chi Phu Way. Their home was also damaged in the attack.

On the evening of November 12, 2024, at around 8:30 PM, the same battalion used drones to strike Wamche village, Maesali Kone village, and Kyaung Kone village, resulting in three bomb explosions. Shortly after, at approximately 8:50 PM, a drone attack also targeted the Chained Bridge in Khachin Kyo village.

Additionally, on November 12, 2024, at around 8 AM, another drone strike by the junta’s Khamar-439 battalion hit Myeikni Kwin village in Muu township, killing 20-year-old Naumusei Pho and injuring 60-year-old Naukyi Baw. Their home was also destroyed in the bombing.
