In Mandalay Region’s Thabeikkyin Township, clashes erupted as junta forces advanced, with airstrikes targeting two villages. The attacks resulted in the deaths of two civilians, including a six-year-old child, according to local residents.
On November 16, at around 3:00 a.m., junta forces launched artillery strikes from the Training School for Advanced Infantry (LID-13) on Twin Nge village, initiating ground operations. Resistance forces engaged in skirmishes following the offensive. At approximately 8:00 a.m. the same day, junta jets bombed Ye Nya U village and Kyaung Phyu village, dropping one bomb on the former and two on the latter. A six-year-old child and a woman from Ye Nya U were critically injured by the explosions and succumbed to their injuries while being transported to the hospital. The ongoing airstrikes have forced most villagers to flee their homes, with many taking refuge to avoid the violence.
