Vendor and Civilian Killed by Junta Soldiers in Dawei Township

In Tonebyaw Village, Dawei Township, Tanintharyi Region, a motorcycle vendor and a civilian returning from a market trip were reportedly shot and killed by junta forces without provocation. The incident was confirmed by a representative of the Dawei Township People’s Defense Force.

On the morning of November 18, 2024, junta soldiers opened fire indiscriminately at civilians traveling by motorcycle between Tonebyaw and Ngaryan-In villages after completing their market errands. One civilian lost their life in the attack, local sources reported.
