Fifteen homes were destroyed by fire in Wekpoke Village, Myaing Township, Magway Region, following an arson attack by military forces. Two civilians were reportedly detained and beaten, with one being taken away, according to a spokesperson from the Anyar Land Joint Forces.
On December 25, troops from Industrial Battalion 2 under the Myaing Township-based (KPSC) reportedly raided Wekpoke Village. During the raid, 15 civilian homes and one motorcycle were set on fire, while two other motorcycles were also destroyed.
Furthermore, the military allegedly detained and assaulted two civilians. While one was later released, the other was taken away, with no updates on their condition or location so far.
