Artillery and Airstrikes by Military Kill One Woman and Destroy Homes in Madaya and Yaysagyo

A 34-year-old woman was killed, and homes were destroyed when the military shelled and bombed villages in Madaya Township, Mandalay Region, according to a representative from the Voice of Mandalay group.

On February 13 at approximately 10:43 AM, an artillery shell fired by junta forces from the direction of Madaya exploded on a civilian house and a school in Myaung Thit village. The shelling caused significant damage to the property.

Among the casualties was Daw Soe Soe, a 34-year-old volunteer cleaner at the school, who was struck by artillery shrapnel and died on the spot.
