The Myanmar military launched a raid on Nhamazarit village in Shwebo Township, Sagaing Region, killing two civilians, including a 90-year-old woman, and burning down around 100 homes, according to local sources.

On the morning of February 27, approximately 60 soldiers, including Pyu Saw Htee militia members, advanced from Zee Phyu Kone village and stormed Nhamazarit. During the attack, soldiers captured and beheaded U Aung Soe, a 50-year-old villager who had been hiding in his home. Meanwhile, Daw Nwe Kyi, a 90-year-old woman unable to flee, was burned alive when soldiers set fire to her house.

Following the killings, the military looted valuables from homes before setting them ablaze, resulting in the destruction of about 100 houses. Villagers reported that soldiers systematically ransacked properties before fleeing the scene with stolen goods.
