18 Dead, 300 Injured in Sagaing NUG-Controlled Areas Due to Earthquake

At least 18 people have been killed, and 300 others injured in the Sagaing Region’s NUG-controlled areas following the recent earthquake, according to an official from the NUG’s Ministry of Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Management.

As per the latest data collected by the NUG, the nationwide death toll stands at 469, with 223 cases still under verification. A total of 1,822 people have been injured, while infrastructure damage includes approximately 30 roads, 2,970 homes, seven bridges, five reservoirs, 95 pagodas and stupas, and over 50 mosques.

Authorities are continuing to assess the full extent of the destruction and casualties.
