Following the recent earthquake, the Myanmar military carried out an airstrike on Naunglan Village in Naungcho Township, northern Shan State, dropping nine bombs into a bomb shelter, killing six Danu People’s Liberation Army (DPLA) fighters and one resistance member, according to DPLA commander Htun Htun Naing.

The attack occurred around 1:00 PM yesterday, with three military aircraft circling the area before carrying out the bombing. The targeted location was not an active combat zone but a site approximately 20 miles away from the front lines, sources said.

“They dropped nine bombs in five different spots using three aircraft. The jets were still circling, and then they directly bombed the shelter. Six resistance fighters and one comrade were killed. One of them was just 15 years old, stationed at the rear. Of the seven wounded, three are in critical condition,” Htun Htun Naing stated.
