Following the coup led by Min Aung Hlaing, military forces have reportedly executed 243 children across Myanmar, according to a statement from the Media Monitor Collective. The military has targeted civilian areas, leading to injuries for 131 children and the arbitrary arrest of 251 others during ongoing conflicts. Among those killed and detained were schoolchildren and university students. The report details that of the detained children, 104 were captured as human shields, 65 were arrested in connection with protests, 38 were taken during military incursions into villages, and 3 were accused of ties to EROS. Additionally, 3 children were captured while fleeing with their families, and 2 others were arrested while trying to escape military operations outside their villages.
