CDM School Principal and Nurses Executed by Armed Forces in Yay Sakyaw

In the Yay Sakyaw Township of Magway Region, the armed forces executed CDM school principal U Win Kyaw, nurse Daw Zaw Li Nain, pregnant CDM teacher Daw Khin Hnin Wei, Ma Thei Ei Ei Win, and PDF member Wu Khun. The N-YSO released a statement regarding the incident, which occurred after the armed forces attacked the N-YSO base on June 10.

After entering the N-YSO base on June 10, the armed forces captured several individuals associated with the CDM, including CDM school principal U Win Kyaw, nurse Daw Zaw Li Nain, PDF member Ma Thei Ei Ei Win, and pregnant CDM teacher Daw Khin Hnin Wei. Following their capture, five others connected to N-YSO were reportedly executed in a brutal manner, according to the N-YSO.

The statement from the N-YSO indicated that at around 3 AM on June 10, the military attacked the N-YSO camp with the intent to destroy it. The armed forces entered using two military vehicles, which were subsequently targeted by N-YSO’s landmines. The attack resulted in the deaths of 13 individuals, including one officer. Some civilians were reportedly taken as hostages, while five N-YSO members were captured and executed. On June 14, several bodies were discovered, confirming the brutal acts carried out by the armed forces.
