Residents report that the military junta shot and killed Win Naing Htun, a resident of Gwegon Village in Yezagyo Township, Magway Region, around 7 p.m. on July 4. He was captured and shot while trying to hide as the military entered the village.
The military also looted villagers’ belongings after killing Win Naing Htun. “On July 2, the military and Pyu Saw Htee militia set fire to Yebike Village, and on July 4 at around 7 p.m., they arrived in Gwegon Village. They caught and shot Win Naing Htun, who was preparing to hide when they came. They also looted whatever they wanted from the village,” said a local resident.
