In Pan Taing Taw village, located in the southern part of Mying Township, Magway Region, the military junta reportedly set fire to homes early in the morning on August 11, resulting in the destruction of over 10 civilian houses, according to local residents. The military had entered and established a presence in the village on August 10 before carrying out the arson attack on the morning of the following day.

A local resident stated, “The military entered and occupied Pan Taing Taw village yesterday, and this morning, they set fire to the houses. More than 10 homes have been destroyed. When the military left the village, they took some personal belongings and snacks from the shops.” This marks the second instance of arson by the military in Pan Taing Taw village, with reports of poultry houses being burned in June.

Currently, the military is reported to be advancing into nearby villages surrounding Pan Taing Taw, and local residents are fleeing to safety.
