In Kalay, Sagaing Region, local sources report that the military has executed a detainee, Ko Kyin Byae Than, who was suspected of involvement in bomb explosions. On September 13, two bombs exploded in the Hlaing Thayar and Kyon Thone Pin neighborhoods of Kalay, leading to suspicions of the detainee’s involvement. It is reported that Major Nan Win Soe and his unit from the Kalay military base detained the 26-year-old Ko Kyin Byae Than, a resident of Kyon Thone Pin, and executed him immediately.
Additionally, on September 12, around 2 PM, another detainee known as Ko Nay Thu Htun was captured in Kan Pau Le village and was reportedly tortured mercilessly under the pretext of being part of the PDF. His current condition is critical, and local military sources indicate that he faces a high probability of death.
