In Myingmu Township, Sagaing Region, the military has indiscriminately shelled villages with heavy artillery, resulting in damage to two homes and injuries to three residents, according to the Myingmu Township News and Communication Committee.
On November 5, around 6 a.m., a group of 33 military personnel, comprised of armed troops, shelled the area between Bomin Kyi and Allakappa villages from a coconut grove south of the car road, firing three rounds towards Kyawmin village around 12:30 p.m. Two homes in Kyawmin village were destroyed by the artillery shells.
Shortly after, around 12:55 p.m., the military fired two more rounds towards Lekapinn village, resulting in the explosion of artillery shells within the village, injuring three residents who were passing by.
A spokesperson from the Myingmu Township News and Communication Committee stated, “There were absolutely no battles occurring; the military was indiscriminately shelling from the southern part of the road between Allakappa and Bomin Kyi villages. Two homes were hit, and three residents were injured.”
