Military Continues Shelling Two Villages in Myang and Yesakyo Areas, Residents Fleeing in Large Numbers

In the areas of Myang and Yesakyo, two villages are being shelled by the military as of this evening, with local residents fleeing in large numbers, according to reports from the community.

On the morning of November 7, approximately 300 armed troops from the military launched an attack on Sinchayra and Nannone Kyaung villages, setting fire to homes and causing destruction.

A local resident stated, “There have been no battles. Since this morning, the troops, numbering about 300, have entered the two villages and have been setting fire to civilian homes since around midday. They are still present as of this evening.”

The military has established a stronghold in Sinchayra and Nannone Kyaung villages, but the extent of the destruction in the villages is yet to be confirmed. However, it is reported that residents from five nearby villages are currently fleeing to safety.
