On December 11, it was reported that the military conducted two arson attacks on Namyar village in Depayin township, Sagaing Region, resulting in the destruction of over 400 homes, according to a representative from the S&C group, which assists internally displaced persons. The attacks occurred on December 4 and 6, and the military’s actions have left more than 400 houses in the village completely destroyed. The destruction included personal belongings, clothing, and essential items, making it difficult for residents to sustain their livelihoods. A spokesperson from the S&C group stated, “Around 400 homes have been lost. This is just in Namyar village alone. The military attacked twice: once on the 4th and again on the 6th, ensuring nothing was left behind. The situation for the people is becoming increasingly challenging for their survival.”
