In Shan State, ongoing clashes have been reported between military forces and the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) in Naungcho Township, according to a statement from the TNLA.
On August 12, battles were ongoing in Taungkharm and Naunglet villages within Naungcho Township between the TNLA and military forces. Reports indicate that the military deployed numerous troops in these areas.
Specifically, clashes were noted involving the military’s 902nd Brigade in Taungkharm, while in Naunglet, battles occurred with 99th Battalion and other units under the command of the Eastern Command, including the 325th and 306th battalions, all engaged in conflict with the TNLA.
