In villages of Thipaw Township, Shan State, an artillery attack by the military occurred without any prior conflict, leading to the deaths of two men and injuries to one, according to the TNLA. At approximately 9:30 p.m. yesterday, the military targeted a residential area in Nanlan, causing a shell to explode on a house in Kyaung Pyin village, resulting in the death of 73-year-old U Lone Sit. Additionally, his 72-year-old wife, Daw Nan Ywet Lu, sustained severe injuries to both legs and her body.
Similarly, on September 2 around 9 a.m., the military shelled a residential area in Nar Ma Khor village, resulting in the death of one man and injuries to another, while a person named Ko Kyaw Myint was also injured in Kyaung Pyin village.
From August 1 to September 5, the military has targeted civilian areas in Thipaw Township using airstrikes and heavy artillery, resulting in the deaths of 24 local residents, including children, and injuring at least 63, according to the TNLA.
