Military Junta Bombards Lashio City Three Times This Morning

Local residents reported that the military junta carried out three airstrikes on Lashio city, located in northern Shan State and held by the MNDAA, early this morning. From 12:40 PM to 12:43 PM, military aircraft bombed Ward 11 in Lashio city. Since August, the military has conducted nearly ten airstrikes in the area, resulting in the deaths of three civilians, with one person reportedly injured during today’s morning bombings.

A local resident explained, “Bombs dropped on Aung Setaung Street in Ward 11. Three bombs fell. The aircraft seemed to be circling, and it was heading to areas where many people were gathered. We can hardly stay in our homes anymore.”

Since the end of August, the military has conducted seven airstrikes on Lashio city, causing the deaths of three locals. MNDAA stated that the attacks occurred when residents were beginning to return to their homes and restart their livelihoods following a period of relative calm.
