Airstrike in Buthidaung Township Kills Mother and 3-Year-Old Child, Injures Another

In Delaopoo village, Buthidaung Township, Karen State, an airstrike by the military junta resulted in the deaths of a 3-year-old child and her mother, with another person injured, according to the KNU Mutraw District statement.

The incident occurred on October 5 around 3 PM, when the junta used two 500-pound bombs from a jet fighter to attack Delaopoo village in Buthidaung Township.

It was reported that 25-year-old Saw Phar Nu and her 3-year-old daughter Naw Mu Naw were both killed in the airstrike, while a 14-year-old villager, Naw Phyo, was also injured.

Furthermore, on October 2 around 2 PM, the junta also dropped 10 bombs in Ward 1 and Ward 2 of Hpapun town using two jet fighters, resulting in the death of Naw Hae Khu, the mother of five children aged around 50, who was searching for vegetables near her home.
