In Launglone Township of Tanintharyi Region, military forces have reportedly carried out extrajudicial killings and shootings, resulting in the deaths of five civilians, according to the spokesperson for the Launglone Township Defense Force, Ye Bo Shay Doe.

From October 12 to 19, military personnel from the junta, stationed in Launglone Township, executed five civilians. On October 18, they are said to have executed Ko Min Ko Ko, a resident of Aokyephyu village, along with an unidentified young villager, and buried their bodies in the creek near Ninmow village.

Furthermore, on the afternoon of October 16, soldiers entered the Kadein Ngan Htein village, where they shot Ko Min Aung (nicknamed) Kankankin, a 30-year-old villager, while he was fleeing on a motorcycle between Aokyephyu village and Kadein Ngan Htein village. That evening, a 73-year-old villager named Daw Khin Myint (nicknamed) Daw Nge, who was bedridden due to ill health, was also killed by military gunfire in the vicinity of Kadein Ngan Htein village, as reported by the Democracy Movement Strike Committee – Dawei.

Similarly, a 50-year-old woman named Daw Thet Thet, who had a heart condition, succumbed to a heart attack on October 16 after being frightened by the sounds of gunfire from the military.
