In Mandalay, Dr. Teza San led a public protest calling for the intensification of the “Boycott” movement. This movement, which has been supported by the public since the onset of the revolution, includes a variety of actions such as the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM) and social punishment against the military junta.
It has been reported that there is an urgent need to escalate the “Boycott” movement, which the public understands and supports. Participants emphasized their rejection of the military regime with statements such as “No to military,” “No to collaboration,” “No to tolerance,” “No taxes,” and “No to military-owned goods and services.” They called for people not to buy, sell, transport, or support fascist troops.
The public’s stance against the junta’s staged elections was clear, with declarations of “No to accepting the sham elections” and “No to voting.” By adopting a unified “No,” the community aims to drain the blood of military power. It was stated that being armed does not make one a revolutionary; rather, anyone, regardless of age or gender, can be a revolutionary in urban or rural areas, both domestically and abroad.
Participants held banners proclaiming that each individual must actively participate in the “Boycott” movement to ultimately dismantle the fascist regime. As military confrontations escalate, public protests and movements will also rise, with Dr. Teza San urging everyone to “respond without hesitation” and to join together in resistance against military tyranny.
