Junta Forces Arrest Close to 100 Civilians in Kabae Village, Sagaing Region

November 5, 2024 – Military junta troops from the Kabae outpost in Sagaing Region have arrested nearly 100 civilians from surrounding villages, local sources report. Since October 30, junta forces have entered Kyi Su, Kyaung Tine, and Aye Paung Cha villages, burning around 700 homes in Kyi Su and Kyaung Tine. The troops also seized 37 civilians from Aye Paung Cha village.

On November 1, junta forces attacked Wet Toe (Ta) village, setting fire to approximately 100 homes and arresting 5 civilians. In another operation on November 4 at around 10:15 AM, junta troops from Kabae outpost, using three vehicles, attacked Buu Kyi village and arrested more than 50 civilians trapped within the village.
