An airstrike by the Myanmar military on a Christian church shelter in Moemauk Township, Kachin State, where displaced civilians were residing, resulted in the deaths of 10 people, including 7 children, and left over 30 others injured, according to local sources.
On the evening of November 15, at around 4:00 p.m., military aircraft dropped bombs on the Christian church shelter in Kone Law Village, where internally displaced persons (IDPs) had sought refuge. The attack occurred without any prior battle in the area. Reports confirmed that 10 civilians, including 7 children, were killed, and more than 30 others sustained injuries.
A local resident stated, “At around 4:00 p.m. today, the Myanmar military dropped two bombs on the Christian church compound in Kone Law Village, where the IDP camp was located. Seven children, along with 10 other civilians, were killed. The number of injured is over 30.”
Sources from the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) also confirmed the attack, stating that the bombing led to the deaths of multiple civilians, including children. The KIA further reported that many of the injured were in critical condition, and the death toll may rise as the situation unfolds.
