Drone Strike in Pyu Township Targets Villages, Killing One Civilian and Destroying Homes

In Pyu Township, Bago Region, two villages, Saiktankhin and Mettinikwin, were attacked by drones, resulting in the death of one civilian and the destruction of homes, according to a statement from the Southern Military Region Division-2.

On the night of November 11, around 7 PM, a drone strike carried out by the military’s Kalay 439 Battalion targeted Saiktankhin village without any prior clashes, dropping three bombs that caused significant damage to civilian homes in the area.

Similarly, on November 12, at around 8:45 AM, another drone strike was launched at Mettinikwin village, which also resulted in three bombs being dropped. The attack led to one civilian’s death and another individual suffering severe injuries.
