The National Unity Government (NUG)’s Minister of International Cooperation, Dr. Sasa, met with Myanmar families in Southern California, USA, during an event held in Baldwin Park, Los Angeles County, on November 16. The gathering took place from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and focused on fostering unity among domestic and international Myanmar communities while addressing ongoing efforts against the military regime.
During the meeting, Dr. Sasa called for greater solidarity among Myanmar groups and elaborated on the NUG’s initiatives to cut off the military junta’s financial, legal, and arms support. He emphasized the importance of international cooperation and continued resistance.
At the event organizers’ request, Dr. Sasa performed two songs, “Khon Arr Pha Myi Ngai” and “Thway Thitsa,” accompanied by guitar. The guitar was later auctioned for fundraising, with a local Los Angeles physician successfully bidding $5,000. Overall, the event raised over $30,000 in donations, which will be used to support conflict-affected civilians in Myanmar through NUG’s efforts.
