Military Airstrike in Kachin State Claims Lives of 15 Civilians, Many Injured

A military airstrike in Hukaung Valley, Tanai Township, Kachin State, targeted the region of San Lwan Shwe Maw, resulting in the deaths of at least 15 civilians and numerous injuries, according to local sources.

The attack occurred today, January 11, at approximately 11:37 AM. Residents in San Lwan Shwe Maw were reportedly working in the area when three jet fighters carried out two bombing raids, leaving at least 15 dead and 10 injured.

The military’s assault not only caused a significant loss of life but also led to the destruction of numerous huts and shops in the area. Local sources indicate that the exact number of casualties is still being verified as investigations continue.
