A military airstrike in Phyikyet village, Hsi Sai Township, southern Shan State, targeted by the military junta with jet fighters, resulted in the deaths of a mother and son, and the severe injury of one daughter, according to a report from the PNLA’s News and Information Department, shared by Khun Yian Ran.
The attack occurred January 11, at approximately 3:00 PM, when the junta’s military aircraft carried out four bombing raids without any prior skirmishes in the area. The bombs reportedly hit three returning women from the fields, killing a mother and son and leaving one other seriously injured.
The bombing raid was carried out without warning and caused severe damage in the area, adding to the growing list of civilian casualties in the region.
