The Myanmar military launched two airstrikes on Kyaukme Public Hospital in northern Shan State, killing a CDM nurse and a patient while injuring over 20 others, according to the TNLA. The attacks also caused extensive damage to the hospital.
The airstrikes occurred at 1:25 PM and 1:29 PM on January 25. Four bombs were dropped by junta jet fighters, targeting the hospital. The blasts resulted in the deaths of a nurse treating patients under the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM) and a patient. Over 20 people, including healthcare workers, CDM staff, and civilians, sustained injuries.
The Kyaukme Public Hospital, which had 150 beds and provided essential healthcare services under PSLF/TNLA administration, is now completely destroyed due to the attacks.
