A military airstrike on Chikwae Village, Bawlakhe Township, Karenni State, killed one woman and destroyed 10 homes, according to the Bawlakhe People’s Defense Force (PDF).
On January 31, at around 1:00 p.m., the military dropped three 500-pound bombs on Chikwae Village, despite the absence of any ongoing clashes in the area.
During the airstrike, a woman in her 50s was killed, and at least 10 homes were damaged or destroyed. The Bawlakhe PDF has urged civilians to remain vigilant and take precautions against the military council’s continued aerial attacks.
